# Copyright and Licensing Statement

## 1. Content Copyright

The Emoji characters and related data displayed on this site come from the official Unicode standard (emoji-test.txt) and CLDR annotations. The Unicode data is used under the Unicode License; this site holds the copyright over the way the content is organized, categorized, searched and presented. The rights to the Emoji characters themselves and to their standard definitions belong to the Unicode Consortium.

## 2. Nature of Exports

This site does not provide or bundle any Emoji graphic asset files. The Emoji graphics on the page are rendered in real time by the visitor's local system fonts; only a very small number of new characters that no system font yet supports are covered by this site with inline graphics as a fallback. The export tool draws the rendered result into a PNG, SVG or favicon in the browser, so an export is the rendering result of the visitor's system font, not a graphic asset provided by this site.

The rights to the font glyphs described above belong to the respective font vendors (such as Apple, Google, Microsoft and others). This site claims no rights over exports and neither grants a license for nor places any restriction on their use; whether an export may be used commercially depends on the license terms of the font vendor you use, so please confirm this yourself.

## 3. Attribution and Differences of Third-Party Graphic Sets

This site currently does not bundle or provide any Emoji graphic assets. If a third-party graphic set is introduced in the future, this site will provide attribution in accordance with each set's license and explain the differences in commercial use:

- Noto Color Emoji: Apache-2.0 license, lenient attribution obligations, commercial use permitted.
- Twemoji: CC-BY 4.0 license, attribution required, commercial use permitted.
- OpenMoji: CC-BY-SA 4.0 license, attribution required, and derivative works must be shared under the same terms, with the strictest restrictions on commercial use.

The graphic sets above are third-party assets, and their use is governed by their respective licenses; this site neither changes nor replaces their license conditions.

## 4. Usage Rules for This Site's Content

The page copy, category structure, search data and interface design created by this site are licensed only for personal study, research and reference; without written permission, they may not be used for commercial purposes or resold. This section does not apply to the exports described in Section 2, which are generated by the visitor's font rendering and whose conditions of use are set out in Section 2.

This site is not liable for any direct or indirect loss incurred by users from using this site's content or exports. Please use this site's content in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations and with the license terms of the relevant fonts and graphic sets.
